Conference Highlights

In recent years, IT application in state operations is considered the top priority of Vietnamese Government for the development of E-government as well as the social-economic development. One of the primary goals set out in Resolution 36a/NQ-CP of the Government on E-government development is that: “To the end of 2017, Vietnam will have become one out of three countries in ASEAN, taking the lead in Online service index (OSI) and E-Government development index (EDGI) of the United Nations”. In order to achieve this objective, the Government and Ministries need to closely coordinate and determine on modernizing the technical infrastructure, building unified and seamless electronic documentation systems from the central to local levels, adopting IT intensively aligned with reforming administrative procedures and developing online public services at level 3 and 4 while enhancing the information security.

Given the context, Vietnam Digital Government 2017 features the theme “DIGITAL GOVERNMENT TRANSFORMATION IN THE 4th INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION: VISION AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS”. The Conference keeps discussing and assessing the status and seeking solutions for the IT application in digital government development which aims to enhance management and governance efficiency while driving citizen and business’s satisfaction to digital public services.

Vietnam Digital Government 2017, organized by Hanoi Department of Information and Communications and International Data Group (IDG), hosted by the Government Office and Hanoi People’s Committee, will take place on 05 April 2017 at Melia Hotel Hanoi.
