Hanoi Department of Information and Communications is the agency that belongs to the Hanoi People’s Committee, with legal status, seal and separate accounts; under the full leadership of the Committee; simultaneously, under control, inspection, and professional guide of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Hanoi Department of Information and Communication is a professional part of Hanoi People’s Committee, which is responsible for  counseling in order to help People’s Committee fill management functions including press; advertising on media, networking and publishing; postal and courier; telecommunications and the Internet; broadcast transmission; radio frequency; information technology; electronics; radio and television;, information communication (IC);,  a number of tasks and powers under the authority of Hanoi People’s Committee in accordance with the law.
